Not breaking the budget

This was a pleasant Christmas.  I purchased some nice affordable presents that were on my relatives’ “wish list” and everyone seemed to like what they received.

We put more attention on the intangibles this Christmas. I had some wonderful long distance calls to some of the relatives who I had not conversed with for quite a while.

We are sending our photo holiday card by email.  People enjoy receiving it that way and there are no fees for hard copies, postage, etc.

I realized I can have more space in the house if I discard anything we really don’t need.  After discussing this with the neighbor lady, she happily received my brand-new never used crock pot.  She told em she had been planning on buying one. I am continuing to “release books into the wild” through the Book Crossing program.

I think that 2008 is going to be a good year.
