Adopt a pet

Friday, June 27th, 2008

Now that Garfield is well, he is giving us endless amusement and cuddles.  I agree with the scientific reports that people who have pets are usually healthier and live longer.  Hey! What a great way to save on medical bills and medicines that have more side effects than benefits.

The Fleas are Gone!

Thursday, June 19th, 2008

Garfield is doing great these days. The fleas are gone and he is not at all lethargic. In fact, he is very playful – and anyone who doesn’t believe me can come look at the scratches on my legs. I guess I was wriggling my legs as I typed and he couldn’t resist the temptation.

I found out that flea eggs die in water. One smart thing to do is to wet the lawn thoroughly when the fleas start to come. It won’t kill the existing fleas, but it destroys the eggs. Goes a long way in keeping down the flea population.

I am giving him one garlic/brewers yeast daily and that seems to be the right dosage for him.

I certainly am happy to have him playful again!

Share a meal

Save money and calories by sharing a meal. You can always order a side salad or appetizer for the other person if you don’t want to appear to cheap.
